Safety and Agency Approvals/Listings

Westbrook Engineering leads the industry with OSHPD approvals and U.L. listings. OSHPD, TUV, UBC, CBC, ICBO, U.L. are the most responsible agencies governing safety for this class of equipment. It is our recommendation that bracketry without this level of regulatory compliance not be used. This assures oversight and attention to reasonable engineering standards and careful professional testing. Professional industrial design adds safety features, ease of installation, and has created the best looking bracketry available.

Underwriters Laboratories has determined it unsafe to use screws to fasten a TV or Video Monitor to a tray due to the possibility of a lethal high voltage electrical shock. Westbrook has now developed a patented system for retaining monitors from 13 inch to 35 inch sizes. This system is remarkably effective, good looking and easy to install. A rubber fender surrounds the front and side lower edges of the monitor to prevent head injury.

The focus of our business for over thirty years has been to industrial design, engineer and manufacture safe bracketry with a high level of regulatory compliance, with emphasis on earthquake (seismic) safety. We believe that no one else manufactures bracketry with this level of safety, testing, regulatory compliance, and documentation. Our products are installed in hospitals throughout the world, on board nuclear submarines, navy missile tracking stations, seagoing tugs, and in other applications where no compromise of safety is allowable.
